Hi, lovely Spotted Style followers!  Fashion week goes on,  showtime again! We heard that you love our fashion shows reports so here is the next one for you! On 10 of July Spotted Style was invited to watch the fashion show of Tony Cohen! We were nicely surprised to see our friend and spotted model Lara Roozemond from Touche Model Management shining under the spotlight on the catwalk! Two more faces from Touche were walking dressed in the amazing pieces of Tony Cohen, Nicole Rijsdijk and Lin Woldendorp and spotted boy  Senna Van Plateringen from Max Models! Below you can find more about the designer, his new collection and see some backstage pictures!

SS16 – BACK TO SQUARE ONE

NIVEA Black & White Deodorant presents TONYCOHEN filled the Gashouder with creations from luxurious materials. SS16 – BACK TO SQUARE ONE is a collection for women and men who dare to show their true nature to the outside world. Shades of black and white, gold, cream and green combined with graphic motifs gave us the feeling of infinity of the designs created by Tony Cohen. The motifs come from traditional embroideries that are mostly handmade. “A fusion of traditional and clean, abstract world,” said Tony Cohen. The Tony Cohen Atelier line that was showed on the catwalk will be sold from September for the first time in Paris. Back to square one with the focus on the high-end segment.

KID FROM THE 70’S & 80’S

The designer is a child of the 70’S & 80’S. He was raised in Amsterdam and his grandmother had her own sales spot with vintage items at the Waterloo, a large outdoor market where many clothes were sold. The atmosphere back then, the garments with their diversity of styles, materials and colors from this period have an effect on Tony’s designs.

FIORUCCI MADE ME HARDCORE
The Italian label Fiorucci was launched in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci. His first shop in Milan introduced the styles of Swinging London and American classics such as the t-shirt and jeans. In the late ’70s and early’ 80s he conquered New York with his shop “daytime Studio 54. This hotspot attracted trendsetters from Andy Warhol to the young Madonna. “Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore ‘video material from this period, has also been an inspiration for this collection. The designs in Tony’s SS16 collection reflect the natural and free feeling.
