New menswear collection with a strong, clean, and minimalistic look
FUTURA’s spring/summer collection 2016 at Amsterdam Fashionweek
‘Futura’ the new menswear label of creative director Anne Bosman and managing director Tom Renema, will be introduced, Friday the 10th of July at Amsterdam FashionWeek, in a quite festive manner. In their short existence Bosman and Renema already published three new collections, from which the latest will be presented as ‘Club Futura’.
A previous edition of ‘Club Futura’, an event at which a bar was completely stripped and transformed into a dark beginning of 2000 Berlin night club, inspired their entire concept. Blacklights would prove a key factor as it created beautiful silhouettes of partying crowd. These colors and figures combined with the new, select rebellious atmosphere will be reflected in Futura’s new spring / summer 2016 collection.
This collection is characterized by a strong, clean and minimalist look, inspired by Dutch Design. Anne Bosman often mixes his creations with denim, which creates a futuristic look for the modern man. The choices of fabrics are dominated by Japanese denims, organic cotton and other sustainable materials. Another notable accent in the collection are the t-shirts and sweaters, which are all hand screen printed, creating a custom-made touch.
Presentation during Amsterdam Fashion Week
‘Futura’ will show its new collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam. The honorable invitation of Fashion Lab and Vodafone to be there, offers ‘Futura’ a platform to present itself as a serious label, and to expand its reach, not only nationally, but also internationally. Anne and Tom Bosman Renema want to create a quality show which can compete internationally with those in Paris and Milan.
