Last night at the opening of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam the designer Monique Collignon fascinated us with her Haute Couture Winter 2015 Collection. Spotted Style was invited to watch the show of the amazing and empowering Monique, known for her unique designs and recognizable by her elegant, confident and feminine cut. The inspiration of the Haute Couture creations are the raw minerals. A powerful, natural fabric that usually occurs in the form of a crystal. For some of the unique pieces the Dutch designer worked 250 hours and for some of the dresses she used more than 60 meters of fabric. All applications are made by hand, including more than 1 000 Swarovski crystals.

Monique is the first fashion designer in the world who uses fabrics from recycled bottles, from Waste2Wear, in her haute couture collection.Waste2Wear was created after seven years of testing new materials and silk which turns the clothing pieces into Haute Couture collection. With her unique creations, Monique wants to raise attention to the plastic waste problem nowadays by showing that we can create something beautiful out of it.
