Dutch beauty Ichelle (17), from VDM Model Management got our attention last month with her chic look at the Vogue video for July’s issue, where she showed us how we can wear our black Vogue tee. As you may guess after spotting her, the next step was to contact her agency and ask for an interview with the charming brunette! Lucky us, Bruna from VDM Model Management was ready to help! (interview with her coming soon on Spotted Style! Excited!)
And there she goes…Ichelle in our spotlight! Born in Amsterdam and living in Enkhuizen, she walked shows for big Fashion Houses as Botegga Veneta, shooted for AMICA Magazine and liked working with Philippe Cometti. Read more about her life, passions, career and the things she shared with us. Fashion week is coming soon and we will keep an eye on Ichelle! Will we spot her there? Stay tuned to find out!

Hi, Ichelle! Can you introduce yourself to our Spotted Style followers? Who are you and how would you describe yourself?
Hello! My name is Ichelle and I just turned 17. I live in a small city called Enkhuizen. I would describe myself as a girl who’s always busy. I’m combining school with modeling, friends and my horse.
What are you hobbies and biggest passions?
My hobby and biggest passion would be horseback riding. I’ve got my own horse, so that’s where I spend a lot of my free time. Besides that I like to hang out with my best friends.
When and how did you start your modelling career? Were you scouted by someone?
I was shopping in Amsterdam when I was asked to become a model. So I ended up going to the agency with my parents, I had my first test shoot and that’s where it all started. (:
Did modelling influence or change your life? If yes, in what way?
Yes, I do think that it had an influence in my life. All the traveling has made me a lot more independent. When I was 15 I went to Milan by myself for the first time.. So that includes flying alone, taking care of yourself, preparing your own dinner etc.. So that has made me a lot more confidant and independent!
Are you doing catwalks? Have you walked a show for Fashion week?
I’ve walked the show Bottega Veneta and I will be doing more catwalks next Fashion week.
What are the biggest campaigns/brands you have done and worked for?
My biggest job isn’t a campaign or a brand, but a magazine called AMICA Magazine. I’ve really enjoyed the shoot working with Philippe Cometti.
Did you ever dream to be a model?
When I was a little girl I always tried to imagine myself how life would be when I was a model. So yes, I’ve dreamed about it!
What does it take to be a successful model?
I think that being a successful model has a really positive attitude and a strong mind.
How do you stay in shape and do you have beauty tips for our Spotted Style followers?
Since a couple of years my parents try to eat very healthy, so that has really helped me to stay in shape. Besides that I bike a lot, and I try to work¬out as often as I can. My beauty tip would be: drink a lot of water so your skin remains hydrated.
What do you love most about modelling?
I love to meet new people and to explore the world by traveling. What is fashion for you?
How would you describe your own style? I think that fashion is a great way to express yourself, so that’s what fashion is to me! I’d describe my style as comfy / casual.

If we spot you on the street, what would be your daily outfit be?
My daily outfit would be my brown boots with a pair of skinny jeans and a comfy sweater. Or when the sun is shining I’ll probably be walking around in shorts combined with a T¬shirt.
What is your must-have for the season?
My mom’s sunglasses!
What makes you laugh and what makes you happy?
My best friend always knows how to cheer me up and make me laugh. And what makes me happy.. The sun!
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Instagram, weheartit, youtube¬accounts etc. The things that are worth fighting for are? My family, friends and of course my horse.
Facts we don’t know about you?
As soon as I get home I change my regular clothes for lounge wear! And I really really really love the ‘creamy peanutbutter’ from Calvé!
How do you imagine the future, what does it hold for you?
I really don’t know (yet) what the future holds for me.. But when I finish school I’m planning on being a full time model for one or two years.
If you could tell something to the whole world what it would be?
It’s very cliché, but it would be: always be yourself.
