Evie Lukassen from Future Faces Model Management is back in our spotlight! This time not to give us delicious recipes for healthy models food, but to share her own story. Are you ready for it? Evie is 18 years old, born and living in Gendringen, The Netherlands and is in her last year of highschool. Luckily, we had the chance to interview her before her finals, which we are sure she did great, having in mind her talented personality. Horse riding, writing, cooking and modelling are part of the list with Evie’s favorite activities. Besides eating healthy, Evie is practicing pilates, yoga and tai chi and the sports help her stay in perfect shape. And as you may guess, we spotted a true fashion lover in Evie! She loves shopping and if you ever spot her, she probably would be wearing her boyfriends jeans, leather jacket, having the chic model look! If you really miss Evie, don’t forget to follow her and Fabienne on their Instagram Models Love Food!
Hi, dear Evie! Can you introduce yourself to our Spotted Style followers? Who are you and how would you describe yourself?
Hi! I am Evie Lukassen and I am 18 years old. I am currently living in The Netherlands with my father, my mother, my sister and my little dog. I would describe myself as an outgoing person, with a positive mindset and who is willing to work hard for what she wants.
What are your hobbies and biggest passions?
I have been riding horse since I was 7 years old. I also love to go shopping! I have been writing stories since I can remember, but I am dealing with a huge writers-block at the moment! Maybe the inspiration will return after my finals :). For me, a day in the kitchen is a day well spent: I absolutely love to cook!
When and how you started your modelling career? Were you scouted by somebody?
I was scouted by a German agency, but it was not as great as I expected it to be. Freek Koster, owner of Touché Models and Future Faces Amsterdam, heard about it and wanted to see me. The rest is history…
Did modelling influence or change your life? If yes, in what way?
It certainly did influence me. I was always convinced that I would go to university straight after my high school period, but then I got the opportunity to work as a model and travel the world. I decided to take that opportunity with both hands and I have not regret it ever since.
Are you doing catwalks? Have you walked a show for Fashion week?
I am having my finals this year, so I have not walked any runway show. School is my biggest priority right now.
Have you ever dreamed to be a model?
I dreamt about it, in a certain way. My friends told me that I had the potential to be a model, but it did not feel right to send my pictures to a modelling agency. I just never had the courage!
What does it takes to be a successful model?
In my opinion, a successful model has her own style, which distinguishes her from other models. She has to be able to bring a positive vibe to the set, I think that is very important.
How do you stay in shape and do you have beauty tips for our Spotted Style followers?
I go horse riding every week and I practice Body Balance every Wednesday with my mom. It is a combination of Pilates, yoga and tai chi. I am also convinced that when you eat healthy, it is visible on the outside.
One thing that you love most about modelling?
I love to meet all those creative people! It is amazing to be a part of the idea they have in their mind.
What is fashion for you? How would you describe your own style?
I have to admit that I am addicted to shopping haha! Thank god I do not have any shops next door, because I am living in a small village. I would describe my style as chic with a little rock edge. I love to combine a chic blazer with a ripped boyfriend jeans and sneakers.
If we spot you randomly on the street, what would be your daily outfit?
I would probably be wearing my black-blue leather jacket and one of my boyfriend jeans. Or my lammy coat!
What is your must-have for the season?
A fluid gabardine is currently on my wishlist.
Fashion/ beauty icon that you admire?
My mom, because she has a nose for the best shoes!
What makes you laugh and what makes you happy?
I think I find happiness in the little things: a big cup of tea, a recipe that turned out delicious or just a hug from one of my family members.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
What is the most important lesson you have learnt until now from the school of life?
That you have to work hard for what you want.
The things that are worth fighting for are?
My family and my friends. They mean the world to me.
Songs from your playlist
Pretty Hurts from Beyonce. When I am home alone, I sing it as loud as I can. Horrible haha! I also love to listen to Tiger Striped Sky from Roo Panes.
5 facts that we don’t know about you?
I am addicted to my Blond Amsterdam tea cup. It can contain half a liter! I am extremely curious about my future husband and my future children. I would love to go to university to study English or Nutrition some day and I am a fan of Justin Timberlake!
How do you imagine the future, what does it hold for you?
For now, I want to work as a model and we will see where it takes me.
If you could tell something to the whole world what it would be?
Embrace the things you have. People do not realize that by having a family and friends and being healthy, they are so rich.
