Introduce yourself with a few words? Who are you?
Hi there! My name is Jesper and I’m 18 years old. I live in a small town right next to Arnhem called Duiven.

What are you hobbies and biggest passions?
I really love Netflix. I mean who doesn’t like to fit as much episodes in one day as possible. Right now I’m really hooked on The Vampire Diaries. I used to play volleyball but I got injured a few weeks ago, so I decided to quit that. Also I really like photography, mainly landscapes and cities.

When and how you started your modelling career? Were you scouted by somebody?
A friend of mine is a model and I thought that was really cool. I decided to try my luck and send pictures to a couple of agencies. Not really expecting anything to come out of it I was quite surprised to find responses the day after I sent my pictures. I went by a couple of agencies and I really clicked (and still do) with my agent Yannick, so that’s why I chose Alpha Male.

Did modelling influence or change your life? If yes, in what way?
Modelling definitely boosted my self-esteem. So I guess it changed my life in that way. Also I’ve already met so many inspiring people that I would have never met without the modelling.

What are the biggest fashion shows/campaigns/brands you have done and worked for?
Since I’ve only just started modelling fulltime I haven’t done a lot yet. I did walk the Kenzo SS15 show in Paris last summer though. I hope to be adding a lot of names to this list soon now that I’m going to be modelling fulltime.

What is fashion for you? How would you describe your personal style? Where do you pull your inspiration from?
I’m really into fashion. I love to watch all the shows during fashion week, and in my free time I visit a lot of fashion blogs. Although I’m really into fashion my style remains pretty basic, I mainly wear skinny jeans with a t-shirt and a vest.

Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favourite city that you have visited? Do you have a dream destination?
Last February I had a shoot for a magazine on Sardinia and I really loved it there! Sardinia is so beautiful and I really want to go back there in summer sometime. I haven’t really made a lot of trips yet, but I’m leaving for Barcelona somewhere next week to start my travels. Also my agency in Japan has requested me to come to Tokyo a couple of times already so I’m probably going there somewhere in the near future, which really excites me.

Give us 5 facts about you people may not know.
I was a pretty fat baby
I bought a Nintendo 2DS just to be able to play Pokémon
I’m very close with my family
I’m really addicted to coffee
I treat my cats like they are my babies
What are your top priorities? What keeps you going?
That has to be family. No matter what happens they always have my back. Where friends come and go my family is a stable factor.

Define happiness. What makes you laugh and what makes you happy?
I think happiness is about appreciating what you have, and not let negativity overshadow the positive things that happen to you. It’s just a matter of perspective.

How do you see Life through your eyes?
I’m really trying to live in the moment lately. So just enjoy all the good things that are happening to me and don’t worry about what’s still to come.

What is worth fighting for the efforts and the time?
Family and friends. Life is only half as good when you don’t have anyone to share it with. Besides that it’s worth to fight for goals you set for yourself. For me that’s modelling right now. I’m ready to go and conquer a spot for myself in the industry.

3 songs from your current playlist?
I lived – OneRepublic
Heal – Tom Odell
Make It To Me – Sam Smith

If you could give a name of this moment of your life, how would this chapter be called?
I think it would be something like “growing up”.

How do you imagine the future and what does it hold for you?
I’m hoping my modelling career is going to take off soon. Other than that I don’t really know what’s going to happen. I’ll just take it as it comes and try to enjoy every second of it.

If you could tell something to the whole world what would it be?
Stop worrying and just believe you can do it. (Note to self)
